“Origami” selected for the 97th Academy Awards Shortlist in the Animated Short Film category

Origami has been selected as one of 15 shortlisted films in the Animated Short Film category of the 97th Academy Awards. From 88 eligible works, including the four Student Academy Award winners of the year, the Academy announced the shortlist on December 17. To qualify for the Oscars, a film must complete a one-week paid theatrical run in the Los Angeles area or win at an Academy-qualifying festival, a group that includes many festivals worldwide as well as the Student Academy Awards. Academy members vote from January 8 to 12, 2025 to narrow the field to five nominees, with nominations announced on January 17.

『Origami』が、第97回アカデミー賞 短編アニメーション部門のショートリスト15作品の一つに選ばれました。今年は、学生アカデミー賞受賞4作品を含む88作品が選考対象となり、12月17日にショートリストが発表されました。ノミネートの対象となるには、ロサンゼルス地区で7日間以上の有料上映を行うか、アカデミー公認映画祭で受賞する必要があり、学生アカデミー賞もその一つに含まれます。1月8〜12日の投票でノミネート5作品が絞り込まれ、1月17日に発表されます。
